It’s common for people especially in this country (Nigeria) to complain about the state of the country they were born, we tend to wish that we were born in a better country or a country where the government did better for her citizens, we may even tend to blame the country for the bad state of our lives, or we might feel our lives would have been better if we were born in a better country. Some of these actions or thoughts are justifiable, but we shouldn’t pounder and waste time on issues or occurrences we can’t change or didn’t decide (as no one choose the country they were born in). This is where we can relate the phrase “bloom where you’re planted” from. To prosper or “bloom” we have to work with what we have and what we can change. https://jdsignatures.blogspot.com/2025/02/bloom-where-youre-planted.html

The first school of thought revolves around a common question: If God is all-powerful and capable of doing anything, why doesn’t He simply make us holy instead of allowing us to be born into a fallen nature, as David describes in Psalms 51:5 (“Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me”)? The second school of thought addresses the biblical teaching that our righteousness is like filthy rags before God (Isaiah 64:6). Does this mean we should not be intentional about living holy lives? Should we make an effort, or should we simply rely on God’s grace to make us holy? https://jdsignatures.blogspot.com/2025/02/lets-talk-about-christianity-be-holynot.html
