*Ecuador te llama! Nos encanta este lugar.* From May 4th to 12th, Jesus Youth was privileged to continue to experience the joy of the gospel in Ecuador. At the invitation of Missionaries of St. Frances de Sales (MSFS), six amazing missionaries from JY USA - Sindhu Nadarajan (Mission Director), Joseph Abraham (National Council), Nitya Mathew, Ryan Stephen, Ann Abraham, and Jacinta Nadarajan visited the regions of Limones, Rio Verde, and Attacames in the Apostolic Vicariate of Esmaraldas. The group traveled by boat to some of these communities, where they visited houses, schools, parishes, and youth groups and organized faith formation. It was a blessing for our mission director, Sindhu, to meet with Bishop Antonio Crameri S.S.C. of the Vicariate and share about Jesus Youth during this visit. We thank God for this opportunity to experience the gospel anew. Please keep the MSFS priests, and the people of Esmeraldas in your prayers. _*Cómo quisiera una Iglesia pobre y para los pobres!_*-Papa Francisco,2013.

In preparation for Pentecost and Recommitment day- just 9 days away, we begin the Novena to the Holy Spirit. The Novena to the Holy Spirit serves as a beautiful way for the JY community to prepare for receiving the graces of Pentecost. _Let us not underestimate the inexhaustible graces that the Holy Spirit has in store for us during this Jubilee year._ 👉*Day 1 Holy Spirit Novena - For the Gift of Wisdom -* https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c3L2gWQYkC1rneF6VDcOXmM4Ue0GeIlC/view?usp=drive_link 👉_Read Edward Edezhath's blog on how formal commitment started in JY_:https://edwardedezhath.blogspot.com/2024/03/how-did-formal-commitment-start-in-jy.html *_A person repeatedly recommits or renews the step of baptism, and the Lord responds each time with His new outpouring of the Holy Spirit_.* - _Edward Edezhath, Pioneer of Jesus Youth._

This past Monday, May 26th, more than 100 JY's gathered in Somerset, New Jersey, as one Jesus Youth family to spend a blessed evening with His Beatitude Mar Raphael Thattil. Major Archbishop honored two of our Pioneering Animators of the Northeast regions - Jose Maliekal and family, Jose Joseph and family who were essential in beginnings of the movement in the Northeast 25 years ago. The event with the Major Archbishop & Bishop Joy Alappatt marked the official inauguration of _Jubilee to Jubilee_ for Jesus Youth - a journey from the Jubilee of the Church to the Jubilee of Jesus Youth. We saw it as providential that with the place and people who dreamt of Jesus Youth 25 years ago, now became the same place where each one of us as Jesus Youth will begin _Envisioning Jubilee._ (Details to follow) As the Major Archbishop reminded us repeatedly during the gathering, “*Jesus Youth is not a human creation; it is a gift from heaven, a gift of the Holy Spirit.”* May this jubilee be a time for us as JY to come alive

*Congratulations to Sr. Jocelyn Edathil SIC, who made her final vows on May 17th, 2025, in Trivandrum, India.* Over the years, Sr. Jocelyn has been a blessing and a gift to so many JYs across the country, especially in the Philadelphia area. Her vocation and her call to say yes to the call to join the Congregation of the Sisters of the Imitation of Christ have inspired and blessed many of us. Sr. Jocelyn, an MD/PhD, also sought to bring Christ's healing to the sick and suffering through her ministry. We continue to thank God and keep Sr. Jocelyn SIC in our prayers. 👉_Watch the full video of her final profession here_:https://www.youtube.com/live/fs83oh9FbHY?si=AXE0udL0TC59YE5O 👉 _Read Sr.Jocelyn's story here_: https://www.inquirer.com/health/coronavirus/nun-sister-covid-virus-jocelyn-edathil-temple-hospital-20200819.html

We kindly ask for your continued prayers and intercession for the First Nations Community in Canada. Over the past few days, wildfires have erupted in Manitoba, prompting emergency evacuations. Our Fulltimer Josh Jacob, who was stationed in Pukatawagon, Manitoba, was evacuated along with others via helicopter due to the fire encroaching on the community. There are still many people in need of evacuations, and many people helping on the ground. Let's intercede for each one of them, trusting that as we intercede for this beautiful community, Christ will make his presence known to them. Let our intercession be a sign of hope to the people of Manitoba, that no matter what challenges lie ahead, we are with them. 👉https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/first-nations-wildfire-evacuation-1.7546519 *Those who pray never turn their backs on the world.* - _Pope Francis, December 2020_

Check out *_Enough_* a short film made for Zion 2025. The film made by young people portrays a lived reality of mercy in our everyday lives. https://youtu.be/Q7apIW_P9jY?si=0iMB6ZVTLJ2IIsKV _I am always struck when I reread the parable of the merciful Father. ... The Father, with patience, love, hope and mercy, had never for a second stopped thinking about [his wayward son], and as soon as he sees him still far off, he runs out to meet him and embraces him with tenderness, the tenderness of God, without a word of reproach. ... God is always waiting for us, He never grows tired. Jesus shows us this merciful patience of God so that we can regain confidence and hope - always!_ -Pope Francis, Homily on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 7, 2013
