Seed Source Technician – Rwanda The Seed Source Technician (SST) will assist in implementation of the tree seed and seedling supply systems that work under RTRP*, QT-Seed** and TREPA to provide diverse climate adapted species and varieties and disseminate the importance of quality tree reproductive material. Requirements BSc. in a forestry/environmental/agroforestry management or similar discipline. Minimum of 1 year’s field work experience working within a forestry/environmental/agroforestry project. Experience in project coordination, GIS and data analysis software. Demonstrate strong network and communication skills. Mountains to Ocean: Three-Week Immersive Program Attention: Teachers, parents, and youth in the Lower Mainland! We're recruiting for another Mountains to Ocean cohort starting in July! Mountains to Ocean is a 3-week immersive program for youth aged 15–21 that explores the deep connections between land and sea. Through three outdoor learning adventures, participants gain hands-on experience, connect with like-minded youth leaders, and design a community project inspired by what they’ve learned. Example excursions* (taking place outside school hours), include: 🚠 A guided hike up the Sea to Sky gondola to learn about to discuss geology, glaciers, biodiversity, climate change, and mountains across cultures and time. 🌲 Volunteer and learn about native plants and the importance of community gardens at The Norquay Community Food Forest. 🚣 A boat tour along Stanley Park, West Vancouver, Lighthouse Park, visiting a thriving seal colony and the iconic Siwash Rock and False Creek.
