ٱدْعُونِىٓ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُ First human being Allah created – Prophet Adam (peace be upon him). His du’a is mentioned in Surah Al A’raaf, Verse 23: رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَآ أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”

👉 In Du`aa al-Istikhaarah, when a person says that: “O Allaah! In Your knowledge, if this thing is harmful for me, my religion, or my Hereafter, then keep it away from me and keep me away from it… Shaikh Ibn al-`Uthaymeen said: And when he says: فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ, then keep it away from me and keep me away from it, 🔊Shaikh Ibn al-`Uthaymeen رحمه الله said: “فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي meaning: keep that thing away from me so that it does not become easy for me to do it. وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ meaning: keep me away from it so that I do not think about it, nor does my soul (or desire) try to chase it.” 📚[Sharh Saheeh al-Bukhaaree of Shaikh Ibn al-`Uthaymeen (4/256)]
