*Baithak | A Concert by Ramana Balachandhran and Anantha R. Krishnan* *Ramana Balachandhran* is a Veena player in the Carnatic tradition. Considered a prodigious talent, he was directly awarded an A grade by All India Radio after auditioning at the age of sixteen. Madras Music Academy, the iconic and venerated music institution in Chennai waived age requirements to invite him to be part of its annual concert series when he was sixteen. *Anantha R. Krishnan* is the grandson and disciple of mridangam maestro Shri.Palghat R.Raghu. Anantha initially learned mridangam from his uncle, Shri. R. Ramkumar. He is also an extra curricular student of tabla with Ustad Zakir Hussain. He was awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Purashkar Award for Contemporary Music by the Government of India in 2021.
