Three JKUAT students delivered an outstanding performance at the Huawei ICT Competition global finals held in Shenzhen, China, from May 18 to 25, 2025. Ephraim Shikanga, a 3rd-year BSc Computer Science student, led his team to a first-place victory in the Computing Track, outperforming top talent from over 170 countries. Banzy Nyaga, a 3rd-year student pursuing BSc. in Mathematics and Computer Science, earned a second prize in the Cloud Track, while Rukia Mwari Mohamed, a 4th-year BSc Telecommunication and Information Engineering student, also clinched a second prize in the Network Track.
