Dear Jesus Youth Family, Greetings in Christ! I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share some updates with you regarding our National Formation Team. As we continue our mission to grow together in faith and discipleship, there has been a change in the composition of our team. The updated National Formation Team will be as follows: Vinod Nair – Coordinator Suma James Binson Baby Nancy Mathew Catherine Mithun Varghese Parekkatil Reji Koovakkada – Animator Fr. Shibu Kallarakkal – Chaplain We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Benson Mendez, Mariya Varghese, and James Thomas for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the National Formation Team over the years. Their efforts have truly helped shape the spiritual journey of many within Jesus Youth Canada. Along with the change in team members, the structure of the Formation Teams is also evolving to better support formation at a grassroots level across the country. Moving forward, in accordance with the formation booklet we have formed two regional Formation Base Teams as well. They will work alongside the national team, strengthening our outreach and support at a local level. The two regional formation base teams are: Ontario Formation Base Team Jopcy Joseph (Coordinator) Amal Antony Thushara Dominic Aneesh Paul Maneesh Bencilin Tony Chirayikalam (Animator) Saskatchewan Formation Base Team Neena Baby (Coordinator) Conchita Fonseca John Paul Chittilapilly Mary Angel Jobi Sherine George Benson Mendez (Animator) The other regions will still be under the care of the National Team. We are excited about this new chapter and trust that these teams, by God’s grace, will bring renewed energy to formation efforts throughout Jesus Youth Canada. Let us continue to keep all these leaders in our prayers as they carry forward this journey. *Manoj Sunny (JY International ) meets Pope Leo!* As part of the _Jubilee of Ecclesial Movements,_ Manoj Sunny (Jesus Youth International & Executive Director, Office of Evangelization – FABC) met with Pope Leo and shared about JY. Manoj Sunny gave a special session for moderators & leaders of Ecclesial movements at the invitation of _Dicastery for Laity, Family & Life._ Along with Midhun Paul (JY Int’l Coordinator), they joined the Pentecost Vigil & Mass with the Pope, and are meeting with G33, CHARIS, and other Church leaders to seek areas of collaboration. Manoj shared: “_When I came here in March 2024, I intentionally visited several of my favorite places because I was unsure if I would come here again. We kindly ask for your continued prayers and intercession for the First Nations Community in Canada. Over the past few days, wildfires have erupted in Manitoba, prompting emergency evacuations. Our Fulltimer Josh Jacob, who was stationed in Pukatawagon, Manitoba, was evacuated along with others via helicopter due to the fire encroaching on the community. There are still many people in need of evacuations, and many people helping on the ground. Let's intercede for each one of them, trusting that as we intercede for this beautiful community, Christ will make his presence known to them. Greetings from Rome! What a blessing to restart the second innings of my life in this city, which I love and have traveled to the most in my life! When I came here in March 2024, I intentionally visited several of my favorite places because I was unsure if I would come here again. After journeying through a challenging road for the last one and a half years, He has given me the best possible restart in my life. It was only because I was invited as a speaker by the Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life for the gathering of the Moderators of International Associations of the Faithful, Ecclesial Movements and New Communities that I had the privilege of meeting Pope Leo XIV. In a few words, I introduced the Jesus Youth movement and sought his blessings. When I said I was from India, he responded by saying, 'Oh, India!’ We attended the G33 Conference in Fiuggi and Charis Conference in Rome, prayed at Pope Francis's tomb at the Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major, participated in the Pentecost vigil led by the Holy Father, and joined Jesus Youth Italy for the Pentecost/Recommitment Day gathering. I am grateful to you for supporting and praying for me. It's very true - If we obey His will, if we follow the promptings of the Spirit even when it is difficult to follow, we will witness His wonders infinitely more than we could ask for or imagine, for the glory of His name! Praise God!
