Allah says in surah al-Baqarah: This worldly life has been made to seem beautiful for those who disbelieve and they belittle those who believe, but those who have taqwa will be above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah provides whomever He wishes without limit. [212] Commenting on this, al-Sa'di wrote: Worldly provisions come to both believers and disbelievers. As for the heart's provision of knowledge, faith, loving, fearing and placing one's hope in Allah, and so on is only given to those whom He loves. [Taysir al-Karim al-Rahman pg 94]

This is not a sunnah!! Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked the following question: It says in the hadeeth that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to say takbeer when climbing a hill and tasbeeh when going down into a valley. Is this takbeer and tasbeeh only when travelling, or did he say takbeer – for example – at home when going up to the second and third floor? May Allah reward you with good. He replied: During his journeys, when the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) climbed up a hill he would say takbeer, and when he went down into a valley he would say tasbeeh. That is because the one who is above a thing may feel proud and think that he is great, so it is appropriate for him to proclaim the greatness of Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, by saying: Allahu akbar. And when he descends, he is going down to a lower level, so it is appropriate for him to glorify Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, when going down. This is the context of saying takbeer and tasbeeh. But there is no report in the Sunnah (prophetic teachings) about doing that when not travelling. Acts of worship are based on tawqeef i.e., they are limited to what is narrated in sound reports. Based on that, when a person goes up the stairs in his house he does not have to say takbeer, and when he comes downstairs he does not have to say tasbeeh. Rather that only applies in the case of travelling. [Liqaa’aat al-Bab al-Maftooh]

What good is your legacy if it does not get you into Jannah? I would rather all the people insult me after my death while I am chilling in a spacious grave than the people of this world praise me while I am being punished in my grave. Who cares about the admiration of the people? If we strive for something, we strive to gain the love of Allah, not the love of the people. *Most people of the world will only love you as long as you agree with them because the truth is not a concern for them.* *[Collected]*

Narrated Um Salama: (the wife of the Prophet) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) woke up one night in a state of terror and said, "Subhan Allah, How many treasures Allah has sent down! And how many afflictions have been sent down! Who will go and wake the lady dwellers (wives of the Prophet) up of these rooms (for prayers)?" He meant his wives, so that they might pray. He added, "A well-dressed (soul) in this world may be naked in the Hereafter." Sahih al-Bukhari 7069 Chapter 6: No time will come but the time following it will be worse than it, Book 92: Afflictions and the End of the World

Throughout the Qur'an, Allah frequently pairs the names al-Ghafoor - Forgiving - and al-Raheem - Merciful -, and in all instance but one, He begins by mentioning al-Ghafoor before al-Raheem. Commenting on this repeating pattern, Ibn al-Qayyim wrote: As for mentioning al-Ghafoor before al-Raheem, this is a natural and fitting arrangement because forgiveness is safety from harm while rahmah is gaining something, and achieving safety is prioritized before gaining something extra. There is a hadith of the Prophet in which he told 'Amr ibn al-'Aas, "I'm sending you on an expedition in which Allah will protect you and grant you bounty, and I will appoint a share of the spoils for you." This is an eloquent arrangement; he began with safety from harm before mentioning gaining something extra, and he mentioning gaining something extra before earnings. [Bada'i al-Fawa'id 1/64]

▫️An Admonition▫️ 📥How Did Imam al-Bukhari Die?📥 📝Ash-Shaykh Abee Hudayfah Abdul-Ghani Al-Omaree (حفظه الله ) ▪️Imam al-Bukhari faced severe persecution in the final stages of his life from the rulers of Islamic cities in the eastern part of the Muslim world particularly in Naysabur Bukhara, and Samarkand This was due to several reasons, including: ▪️ His refusal to teach the rulers’ children in their palaces. He used to say: "Knowledge is to be sought it is not to be carried to people's doorsteps." ° Envy from some people due to his fame and reputation. ° And other causes. ▪️When Imam al-Bukhari reached the age of 62, he received orders from the ruler of Naysabur to leave the city, being told he was no longer welcome there. He left and returned to his hometown, Bukhara. ▪️The people received him at the gates of the city, throwing money and sugar in celebration. ▪️Crowds of people, students of knowledge, and hadith scholars surrounded him so much so that people deserted the gatherings of other scholars. This incited jealousy and resentment from some. ▪️Soon after, the ruler of Bukhara grew angry at his fame, and letters arrived from the ruler of Naysabur demanding that Imam Al-Bukhari be expelled from Bukhara as he had been from Naysabur. A messenger from the city’s ruler came to Imam al-Bukhari’s house, urgently ordering him to leave the city immediately . ▪️The command was so urgent that he wasn’t even given time to gather and organize his books. He left the city and camped just outside it in a tent for three days, sorting his books unsure of where to go next. ▪️Eventually, Imam al-Bukhari set out toward Samarkand, but instead of entering the city itself, he went to a nearby village called Khartank where he stayed with some relatives, accompanied by Ibrahim ibn Ma‘qil It wasn’t long before guards arrived at the door of the house where Imam al-Bukhari was staying with new orders from the ruler of Samarkand: Imam al-Bukhari must leave not only the city but also its surrounding villages. This happened on the night of Eid al-Fitr The orders were that he had to leave immediately, not after the Eid. ▪️Imam al-Bukhari feared causing any harm to the relatives who had hosted him. So, Ibrahim ibn Ma‘qil packed the Imam’s books onto one mount and prepared another for him to ride. Then he went back inside to help the Imam out. ▪️As they walked toward the riding animal, with the Imam leaning on him, after about 20 steps, Imam al-Bukhari began to feel increasingly weak and asked Ibrahim to give him a few moments to rest. He sat down by the side of the road… then fell asleep. ▪️Moments later, when Ibrahim tried to wake him, he found that Imam al-Bukhari had passed away may Allaah have mercy on him. ▪️Imam al-Bukhari died by the roadside on the night of Eid Al-Fitr1st of Shawwal, 256 AH expelled from city after city. He was over 62 years old. ▪️Today, people do not know the names of the rulers of Naysabur, Bukhara, or Samarkandbut everyone knows Imam al-Bukhari May Allaah have mercy on Imam al-Bukhari and raise his rank in the highest levels of Paradise with the prophets, martyrs, and righteous.
