▶️ Rheinmetall and Anduril Industries announced a strategic partnership to co-develop and deliver a suite of software-defined autonomous systems to extend the availability of autonomous mission systems. ▶️ The partnership is starting with the development of three proven capabilities – but is about to be extended with more next generation technologies over time: ▶️ The integration of a European variant of Anduril´s Barracuda as part of Anduril’s family of low-cost, mass-producible autonomous air vehicles into Rheinmetall´s digital sovereignty framework (“Battlesuite”). ▶️ The inclusion of a European variant of Anduril´s Fury, a high-performance, multi-mission group 5 autonomous air vehicle (AAV), into Rheinmetall´s digital sovereignty framework (“Battlesuite”). ▶️ The exploration of opportunities for solid rocket motors for European use leveraging Anduril’s new production approaches.
▶️ Rheinmetall has been honoured at the @reddotdesignaward 2025 for its innovative curb charger in the overall ‘Product Design’ competition in the ‘Innovative Design’ category. ▶️ The intelligent use of existing urban infrastructure with high technical availability convinced the jury in all relevant Red Dot categories. ▶️ The curb charger offers a space-saving alternative to conventional charging infrastructure, thus circumventing the problem of limited space availability in both public and private areas. ▶️ The modular design enables fast, flexible, scalable and cost-efficient installation of charging points. With these unique features, the charging solution has already attracted considerable interest from cities, communities, charging point operators and stakeholders since last year, and has recently been put into regular operation after a very successful one-year field study in Cologne. This is the initial start for serial production. ▶️ The product impressed at this year’s Red Dot Design Award a jury of 43 experts from 21 countries, including designers, professors, journalists and consultants from various disciplines, and has triumphed over contributions from over 60 countries. ▶️ The Red Dot award ultimately certifies outstanding design quality on an international level. The award ceremony will take place on 8 July 2025 at the Aalto-Theatre in Essen. Afterwards, celebrations will be held at the Red Dot Design Museum on the grounds of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein.

INERATEC and Rheinmetall have signed a strategic partnership to deploy scalable Power-to-Liquid (PtL) solutions across defence and critical infrastructure sectors. ▶️ This collaboration marks a milestone in building resilient energy systems that operate independently from fossil fuel supply chains and vulnerable infrastructure. ▶️ Modern defence strategies depend not only on technology and logistics but also on energy resilience. As fossil fuel supply chains become increasingly vulnerable in case of conflicts, the ability to produce carbon-neutral synthetic fuels on-site becomes essential. Hospitals, critical infrastructure, and armed forces alike require a stable, independent, and clean fuel supply – in peacetime and during crisis. ▶️ The Giga PtX solution delivers secure, redundant and consistent access to high-quality fuel, independent of geopolitical dynamics. ▶️ Giga PtX lays the groundwork for establishing a sustainable carbon-neutral fuel network all applications that are currently depending on fossil fuels.
▶️ Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH, a subsidiary of Rheinmetall AG, and Indra have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a strategic cooperation in the field of armoured vehicles projects of the Spanish Armed Forces. ▶️ This further enhances the already strong alliance of Indra with Rheinmetall in other fields like the recently announced agreement with Rheinmetall Electronics on the Leopard 2E Combat System. ▶️ Reliance Defence Ltd from India and Düsseldorf-based Rheinmetall AG have agreed on a strategic partnership in the field of ammunition. ▶️ A memorandum of understanding to this effect has now been signed by representatives of both sides. ▶️ The collaboration between the companies will include supply of explosives and propellants for medium and large caliber ammunition to Rheinmetall by Reliance. Furthermore the two companies intend to engage in joint marketing activities for selected products and are aiming to further extend their cooperation based on future opportunities. ▶️ In order to support this collaboration, Reliance Defence Ltd will set up a greenfield manufacturing facility in the Watad Industrial Area, of Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. ▶️ The Reliance manufacturing facility, one of the largest in South Asia, will have an annual capacity to produce up to 200,000 artillery shells, 10,000 tons of explosives and 2,000 tons of propellants.
Rheinmetall has established a new subsidiary, Rheinmetall Resonant South Africa (Pty) Ltd. Upon receiving approval from the relevant authorities, Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH now holds a 51% stake in the newly founded joint venture Rheinmetall Resonant South Africa (Pty) Ltd. The joint venture takes over almost all of the assets of Resonant Holding and its subsidiaries. ▶️ The remaining 49% is held by the existing shareholders of Resonant Holding. ▶️ The new company expects sales potential of more than €100 million per year. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. With the establishment of the new subsidiary, Rheinmetall is further expanding its range of services to create additional production capacity. ▶️ This is Rheinmetall’s response to the growing global demand for ammunition. The indepth vertical integration positions the Group even stronger in terms of independent planning, construction and operation of production facilities for chemical precursors such as propellants and explosives.
▶️ Rheinmetall has received additional major orders for the delivery of 155 mm artillery ammunition. ▶️ An international customer has placed two orders at the subsidiary Rheinmetall Denel Munition to supply extended range, full bore (ERFB) 155 mm artillery ammunition worth a total of a high double-digit million amount. ▶️ The order includes projectiles, propellants and fuses. ▶️ Rheinmetall Denel Munition provides strong technical support and manufactures all energetic and mechanical components of the 155 mm ammunition in-house.
▶️ Rheinmetall has confirmed Telford as the home of its new leading-edge large-calibre barrel production facility - marking a bold step in re-establishing sovereign defence manufacturing in the UK and delivering on its strategic partnership with the @ministryofdefence (MoD), under the Trinity House Agreement. ▶️ This major investment positions Rheinmetall at the heart of Britain’s defence industrial revival, supporting both the modernisation of the @britisharmy my and the UK’s role in strengthening @nato’s collective readiness. ▶️ With production set to begin by 2027, the UK will once again join the ranks of nations capable of manufacturing large-calibre barrels - vital for national defence and global export. Momentum is already building. ▶️ Rheinmetall has placed orders for key long-lead manufacturing equipment, ensuring rapid progress and reinforcing its full commitment to delivering this critical capability on time.
▶️ American Rheinmetall has definitized a military track order valued at $107.5 million (€94.1 million) under a landmark 5-year long-term contract. ▶️ An undefinitized contract was awarded in August of 2024, allowing American Rheinmetall to begin production while final price negotiations continued. ▶️ The 5-year contract is for the production and delivery of T-158 military track for the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, reflecting the U.S. Army’s trust and confidence in American Rheinmetall to meet critical supply demands and further advance modernization production efforts. ▶️ The expedited timing of the original long-term contract award highlights the urgent need for sustainment military track to maintain readiness and support future operations. ▶️ The T-158 military track system is an integral mobility component of the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, renowned for its heavy-duty design and replaceable track pads that ensure peak performance under the most demanding conditions.
