*AL AHLI TRIPOLI (LIBYA) AND AL ITTIHAD (EGYPT) ADVANCE TO BAL SEMIFINALS IN PRETORIA* In the first of two win-or-go-home quarterfinal matchups, Al Ahli Tripoli (Libya) secured a dominant 107–81 victory over Kriol Star (Cape Verde). The win was powered by a standout performance from Fabian White Jr., who recorded 34 points and 13 rebounds, while Jaylen Adams contributed 19 points. For Kriol Star, Joel Ntambwe led the way with a team-high 25 points and seven rebounds. The second game of the night was arguably the most thrilling in Pretoria so far, as Al Ittihad (Egypt) edged out FUS Rabat (Morocco) in an 86–83 overtime victory to stay alive in the competition. FUS Rabat’s Nisre Zouzou hit a clutch three-pointer to send the game into overtime, but Al Ittihad held firm in the extra period, preserving their perfect record. Al Ittihad delivered a balanced offensive effort, led by Lual Acuil’s double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Kyle Vinales also scored 16 points and added seven assists, while Majok Deng contributed 15 points. FUS Rabat’s Jonathan Jordan led all scorers with 23 points. *APR (RWANDA) AND PETRO DE LUANDA (ANGOLA) ADVANCE TO BAL SEMIFINALS IN PRETORIA* APR (Rwanda) punched its ticket to the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Semifinals with a commanding 104–73 victory over Rivers Hoopers (Nigeria). Nuni Omot led the charge with 21 points, while Aliou Diarra contributed a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. The Rwandan side shot an impressive 50% from beyond the arc and 62.5% from the field overall. For the River Hoopers, Madut Akec paced the team with 21 points, and Raphael Putney chipped in 12. Meanwhile, the defending champions Petro de Luanda (Angola) are heading back to the BAL Semifinals after a 95–84 win over US Monastir (Tunisia). Kendrick Ray led all scorers with 20 points, while Yanick Moreira added 15. US Monastir was led by Patrick Hardy Jr. with 17 points, and Firas Lahyani added 15 in the loss. The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Indiana Pacers, 123-107, in Game 2 of the 2025 NBA Finals. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 34 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals while Alex Caruso finished with 20 points (4 3PM) in the victory. Tyrese Haliburton totaled 17 points, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks for the Pacers in the loss. The best-of-seven NBA Finals series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers is tied, 1-1. Game 3 will take place on Thursday, June 12 at 2:30 a.m. CAT on ESPN, Canal+ and NBA League Pass live from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Team of experts to share in-depth insights from across all 63 tournament matches 3. Panel is responsible for selecting winners of FIFA awards FIFA today unveiled the Technical Study Group (TSG) that will provide cutting-edge analysis of all matches across the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ while increasing and developing understanding of the game worldwide. Led by FIFA Chief of Global Football Development Arsène Wenger, the TSG line-up features Esteban Cambiasso (Argentina), Aliou Cissé (Senegal), Tobin Heath (USA), Jürgen Klinsmann (Germany), Roberto Martínez (Spain), Gilberto Silva (Brazil) and Pascal Zuberbühler (Switzerland). The role of the FIFA TSG – an expert panel comprising national-team coaches and former players – is to observe matches, pinpoint tactical trends and innovations, and illustrate them using insights and data provided by the FIFA Football Performance Insights team. The trends that it identifies are published on the FIFA Training Centre , where they are accessible to all free of charge. In addition, the TSG is responsible for selecting individual award winners and the team awarded the fair play prize at FIFA tournaments. The TSG members’ expertise enables them to highlight and analyse the technical trends encountered at a tournament with great accuracy.Besides analysing the on-pitch action, the TSG studies trends and benchmarks for the future of the game and their impact on coach education and talent development.
