What Story Do You Want Your Life To Tell? Too often, people define their existence by their professions or career paths — “I’m an engineer.” “I’m a doctor.” “I’m a lawyer.” But let me be clear. “Your life is far more than what you do for a living.” If your sense of identity is rooted solely in your career, you haven’t yet begun the journey of truly living. Your profession is not your purpose. It is merely a platform — a vehicle for expressing the very essence of your being. If time and chance were to happen to your current profession, what then becomes of you? Read that again. Sit with it. Let it challenge you. You were not created to shrink into a title. You are bigger than titles. They are only tools — instruments for expressing who you already are. Whatever you do, wherever you are, who you are should shine through. Here’s the good news: You have the remarkable power to define yourself — to shape your identity, clarify your mission and bring meaning to every moment. And when you discover who you truly are and what you’re here to deliver to the world, everything changes. Waking up every morning is no longer a struggle. It becomes a call to action. This is how you tell your life’s story: By living authentically and unapologetically. By dancing to the rhythm of your own conviction. So, embrace your story. Tell it boldly. Design your blueprint with intention. Live out your divine script with unwavering agency. You don’t need permission to be powerful. You simply need to show up — fully, faithfully and fearlessly. Over centuries, that story evolved — not just to enable trade, but to govern behavior, influence systems and shape destinies. The popular advice to “Just Start” is well-intentioned, but it often lacks nuance. While it’s true that action breeds clarity, not all starting points are the same. Context matters. Start from where you are. Where you are could be ignorance. If that’s the case, starting means closing the gap in your understanding. Seek knowledge. Ask the right questions. Understand the terrain before jumping in. You don’t just throw yourself into the deep end without first learning how to swim. For someone else, starting might mean they’ve gathered enough knowledge—it’s time to act. Get your hands dirty. The clarity you gain on the way comes from experience and exposure, but you also need some level of clarity before stepping out. Otherwise, you’ll be moving in circles, mistaking random motion for progress. This is where the “Just Start” mantra often falls short. Clarity isn’t something you sit around waiting for, but neither is it something you blindly stumble into. It exists in layers. Some clarity is required before the journey, and deeper clarity is gained along the way. One doesn’t cancel out the other. Think about it: there are things you never knew had value until someone opened them up to you. That insight—that revelation—is clarity in itself. Sometimes, what you need to take that audacious step forward isn’t just more courage but the right perspective. So I say to you, wherever you are on this spectrum—whether your next step is learning or doing—just start. But don’t just start blindly. Start with awareness. Start with intentionality.
