This is reported crime only, and just in this borough. £146,239 is lower than usual but still represents 91 people who will have been affected emotionally and financially. What can you do? Officers from Kew and East Sheen SNt arrested a male yesterday afternoon on Mortlake High Street. Officers were patrolling in response to community concerns of drug dealing in the area. The suspect was found in possession of 80 bags of cannabis packaged and ready to supply and a large quantity of cash. The suspect remains in custody at this time.
*Richmond town centre - Live facial recognition operation* Today saw the first deployment in Richmond of MPS live facial recognition technology. Officers from Safer Neighbourhoods and Safer Transport, working alongside specialist colleagues, were outside Richmond train station from midday. The system is able to scan and identify those passing, identifying subjects wanted for offences, and those with court orders. No individual images are retained other than those who trigger alerts. Arrests were made for; 1 x Recall to prison 1 x Personal robbery 1 x Failing to comply with a community order A number of other individuals were stopped and spoken to due to having current court orders in relation to various issues, which were checked in case of any breaches. A successful day, and 3 offenders removed to custody from Richmonds streets.
Missing boy Adam Glanville and mother located Police appealed for information to locate Adam Glanville who had been reported missing and was believed to be with his mother Karima Mahmoud. We are pleased to confirm that Adam was located safe and well on 13 February and is now with family. Karima Mahmoud, 44, was in breach of a court order and is due to appear at the Central Family Court on Monday, 17 February. We also appealed for assistance to trace two men who were involved in an altercation with another man at the time Adam and his mother were last seen together in Richmond on 3 June 2024. Both these men, aged in their 50s, have been traced and arrested on suspicion of child abduction. They have both been bailed pending further enquiries. A third man, also aged in his 50s, was arrested on suspicion of child abduction – he has been bailed pending further enquiries. We thank the media for their assistance in publicising our appeals in relation to this case and now that Adam has been located and the two men identified, we ask that all images are removed from circulation.
