"One should cherish parents, respect teachers, be faithful to one’s spouse, treat friends with kindness, care for servants and employees, and honor religious guides." ~Buddha - Sigalovada Sutta

As in previous years, the New Delhi Centre of the Maha Bodhi Society of India is once again preparing to distribute 600 packets of fruits—each containing one apple, one banana, and one mango Frooti—to patients at RML Hospital, New Delhi. The distribution is scheduled to take place today as part of the 2569th Vesak Day celebrations.

Vesak Day Fruit Distribution at RML Hospital, New Delhi As part of the 2569th Vesak Day celebrations, the New Delhi Centre of the Maha Bodhi Society of India joyfully carried out the fruit distribution programme at RML Hospital, New Delhi. Today, 600 fruit packets—each containing one apple, one banana, and one mango Frooti—were distributed with compassion and goodwill to the patients. This noble initiative was generously sponsored by Dr. Manish Kumar, Vice President of the Maha Bodhi Society of India. This benevolent gesture epitomizes the profound spirit of Dāna (altruistic giving) as espoused by the Blessed One, Samyak Sambuddha, and reaffirms our enduring commitment to selfless service and compassionate outreach within the community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Manish Kumar, as well as all the volunteers and well-wishers who supported this meaningful event. May all beings be happy and healthy. Happy Vesak Day!
