IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - ISM'S COMMUNITY MEET & GREET YOUR PROVINCIAL CANDIDATE As the Provincial Elections approaching very fast, we wanted to give all community members the opportunity to meet & greet the Provincial Candidates. Each candidate will be set up with a table (booth style) inside our gym for you to reach out to them and ask them any relevant question about the upcoming election. We are firm believers that our collective voices as a community do matter. Please utilize this right and attend this 1 hour session for you to be informed about the best option for you to vote for. This event will take place this Sunday in sha ALLAH immediately after Dhuhr Salah in our gym. The Candidates will only stay until 2:30 PM so, please utilize this opportunity. Jazakum ALLAH khair. IMPORTANT ISM RAMADHAN ANNOUNCEMENT Dear Community Members … Assalamu Alaikum, In preparation for the month of Ramadhan, we have the following announcements: 1. Iftar: a. This year we will have a different Iftar serving model as we will have a quick breaking of the fast with dates and water immediately after Athan then Maghrib Iqama will be 5 minutes after Athan followed by full Iftar serving in the gym for the brothers and upstairs for the sisters b. we invite our generous donors to sponsor serving daily Iftar for 700 brothers & sisters as follows: • Sponsorship amount for each night in the first 20 nights is $2,500 • Sponsorship amount for each night in the last 10 nights is $3,000 • In order to reserve a night, full payment will have to be made at the time of booking • we also encourage all of our community members to participate in this great rewarding deed by donating any amount possible which will go into the general Iftar funds collected to cover any possible shortage 2. Itikaf: a. The Itikaf registration will be opened this Saturday, February 15 after Dhuhr Salah b. An official government ID with photo, date of birth and address is required to register c. Itikaf is open for Markham residents d. 7 Itikaf spots will be reserved for Youth age 16 to 25 e. 20 Itikaf spots are only open for adults aged 26 plus f. Only full 10 nights Sunnah compliant Itikaf will be allowed Jazakum ALLAH khair immensely. We ask ALLAH SWT to bless us in the month of “Shabaan” and to make us reach the month of “Ramadhan”. Ameen.
