TOMORROW!! 🎶 Here, There, Everywhere: A talk on the Beatles by Viv Nelson 🎶 Not many have a master’s degree on the Beatles. Only one person has two, from Hope University Liverpool and the University of Liverpool itself. The talk will be a mixture of short quizzes, film clips, wonderful music and stories about the Beatles that many of you won’t know. Amongst the many other things that Viv will be talking about are: -Why was the timing perfect for the Beatles launch in 1962? -Why was their roadie so important? -Was the Cavern where it all began? -How important was Jane Asher in the development of the Beatles? -What ever happened to Pete Best, the drummer that Ringo replaced? -Why did they write songs for so many other performers? -What lasting effect have they made on their home city of Liverpool? And much much more .. Be transported back in time to the post war black and white world where a bombed sea port city produced arguably the best band ever. WHEN: Friday 23rd May, 3pm and again at 7pm WHERE: St James’ Church PRICE: A fund raiser for the church – donations welcome!

Calling all families! We are holding our very first environment day. This will be a fun activity-packed afternoon with opportunities to learn about the local environment, try your hand at some wildlife-friendly crafts, and have an opportunity to meet and maybe even hold some owls! This is aimed mainly at primary school aged children although all are welcome to attend. Some activities may not be suitable for those under the age of 3. WHEN: Sunday 23rd Feb 12:30-3pm WHERE: Welland Parish Hall TICKETED ENTRY ONLY: £2 per child (aged 3-16). Includes activities, drinks and a snack, and a goodie bag to take home. Buy at: http://ticketsource.co.uk/little-malvern-and-welland-pc.../ Tickets are limited by the hall capacity so buy them soon! -Please note: There will nuts, seeds and other potential allergens present -Each child must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. -Maximum 2 adults per paying child (accompanying siblings under 3 free, but some activities may not be suitable for them). Thanks to Malvern Hills National Landscape Partnership for their generous event funding, and to Christine Wild, our District Councillor, for funding the free refreshments.

There is still time to have your say - and we'd REALLY like to hear from you! We really need feedback, whether you support the plans or whether you don't - as we want to ensure that we are progressing with projects that people are actually interested in!
