Combining the physical game with esports opens up new possibilities for engagement and development.” Kwesi Hayford, President of the Esports Association Ghana, also emphasized the significance of the event. “Esports is the future of sports entertainment, and bringing rugby league into this space is a game-changer. This is just the beginning of a new era for both traditional and digital sports.” For Darryl Amoatey, Captain of Accra Panthers, winning the maiden edition was a moment of pride. “Becoming the first-ever E-Rugby League champions is an incredible achievement for our team.
