In September 2015 I became chair of the Parramatta River Catchment Group. Our goal was to make the Parramatta River swimmable. In October of 2018, alongside Councillor Penny Pedersen - RYDE we launched concepts for the Putney Swim Site. In October of 2019, the plans were endorsed. They said we couldn’t do it. They said it wouldn’t be done. 6 (long) years later, it’ll open today. I’ll see you down there in my budgie smugglers.
