We marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a commemorative event in Frankfurt 🕯️
The ECB’s main building stands on a site linked to the atrocities of the Holocaust. Between 1941 and 1945, over 10,000 Jewish citizens were rounded up and deported from the Grossmarkthalle, headed for ghettos, concentration camps and extermination camps.
We owe it to the victims – and to ourselves – to reflect on the lessons of the past and unite in the face of hate and antisemitism.
