We’re redesigning euro banknotes to make sure they’re fit for the future.
After asking the European public about your preferences for themes (thanks again for your suggestions!) our Governing Council has selected motifs for each of these two themes:
🔹 European culture 🇪🇺
🔹 Rivers and birds 💧🕊️
Later this year we’ll be launching a design contest and the Governing Council will select the final designs in 2026.
