Ethiopia Strengthens Emergency Response Workforce with AVOHC-SURGE Training Addis Ababa – The third cohort of the AVOHC-SURGE training program has successfully concluded, certifying 114 multidisciplinary experts after a month of intensive engagement. This milestone brings the total number of trained AVOHC-SURGE experts to 304, reinforcing Ethiopia’s capacity to respond to health emergencies at national and international levels. The Ministry of Health (MOH) 🇪🇹 and the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) have acknowledged WHO’s invaluable support and technical guidance in strengthening the country’s emergency response workforce.
