*IMSA: Nick Tandy is the new endurance king 👑 -*
Porsche has claimed its 20th victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona. It was Felipe Nasr's 🇧🇷 second Daytona triumph in a row, while Laurens Vanthoor 🇧🇪 and Nick Tandy 🇬🇧 celebrated their first overall victories at this prestigious event. Tandy also reached a historic milestone: he is the first driver to win all four major 24-hour endurance races at Le Mans, Spa-Francorchamps, Nürburgring and Daytona.
‘I'm so proud to have achieved this with Porsche,’ said an overwhelmed Tandy. ‘Eleven years ago was the last time I stood on the top step of the Daytona podium - back then in the GT class with a red and white Porsche and again this time with a red and white Porsche. Three years of hard work have brought us here. We all made it together. At some point years ago, someone told me that no one has ever managed to win the overall victory in the four biggest 24-hour races. Since that day, I've had this goal in the back of my mind.
