Coal accounts for 47.65% of our installed capacity, but 71.75% of our power generation!
India has been rapidly scaling power generation capacity from renewable sources like solar and wind.
While 72% of the actual production is still done using coal, the rapid increase in capacity could mean way less reliance on coal in the coming years.
