They have returned home from captivity after 471 days. ‏The medical teams and professionals at the hospital are fully prepared to receive them and provide comprehensive medical care, including psychological support and addressing any additional needs. ‏We would like to remind the public, even more strongly than on previous occasions, that these are sensitive times for the returned captives and their families. We urge everyone to respect their privacy. Maintaining the privacy of those who returned is essential for their transition from captivity toward recovery and rehabilitation. ‏The Ministry of Health expresses its relief that the returned captives are now home and hopes for the swift return of all remaining hostages. ‏The entire healthcare system is prepared to receive all returning captives and is committed to provide ongoing care and support for them and their families. ‏On October 7th, 2023, the Hamas terror organization carried out a murderous attack against the State of Israel, committing crimes against humanity. Hamas terrorists did not hesitate, as they brutally murdered 1200 people - children, women, men, elderly, and entire families; committed horrific sexual crimes and abducted 251 people into the Gaza Strip. ‏97 hostages (*94, after the release of today*), alive and deceased, remain captive in Hamas's dungeons. They have been held there for 471 days, without visits by the Red Cross - a situation that blatantly violates international law.
