*Nairobi City County Government Implements Recarpeting of Roads in Central Business District to Ease Mobility*
*Tuesday,11th February 2025*
The implementation of roads recarpeting projects in the central business district by the Nairobi City County Government is in line with Governor Sakaja's manifesto to improve mobility and create a greener and cleaner city for all.
Kimathi Lane, Haile Selassie Road, and Mfangano lane have been in desperate need of recarpeting due to their deteriorating conditions.
The worn-out roads have not only been causing inconvenience and delays for commuters but also contributing to increased pedestrians' safety risks.
This has been a major concern for Governor Sakaja, who has always been committed to improving the quality of life for Nairobians by easing mobility.
Governor Sakaja's vision for a better Nairobi has come to fruition with the ongoing roads recarpeting projects and construction of new roads in Nairobi City County wards funded by the Ward Development Fund.
The improved roads will improve the flow of traffic and also provide a smoother and safer commute for motorists and pedestrians. With widened lanes, designated pedestrian walkways, and better traffic management.
