These cases have been documented in the governorates of Homs, Aleppo, Latakia, Damascus, and Tartous. The association has documented 14 arrest cases so far and has also recorded instances of death threats and corpse mutilation, traced to unknown numbers and Instagram pages linked to Salafi groups, in the governorates of Homs, Latakia, and Damascus. The group provided forensic evidence to Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, demonstrating the General Security Department's involvement in the abuse of LGBTQ community members. They also urged transgender individuals to avoid exposing themselves or others to danger until the violations cease.
