_News_ | *Beirut port case: Bitar interrogates customs officials* 👇 For the second week in a row, the lead investigative judge in the Beirut Port explosion case, Judge Tarek Bitar, continues to interrogate the defendants in the case. On Tuesday, Bitar is set to question four customs officers and employees whom he previously prosecuted and scheduled for questioning in January. Among those who are set for interrgotions tomorrow are: Director General of Customs Raymond Khoury, former chairman of the Higher Council of Customs Assaad al-Tufeili, Customs Council member Gracia Azzi and retired Brigadier General Adel Francis. Sources at the Palace of Justice told Megaphone that most of the defendants have been notified of their session dates. Bitar resumed interrogating the defendants last Friday, and the sessions will continue until the end of February, with additional hearings planned for other defendants in March and April.
