He arrogantly replies that he will soon become Delhi’s Subedar, so he is celebrating in advance. Turkan reminds him that as long as Razia is around, his position is not secure. She reveals that Razia is searching for the horse’s seat, so he must find it first and erase the evidence. Althunia runs through the jungle, pursued by his boss’s servants. He skillfully kills them and makes his way to the palace. At the horse stable, Razia notices Ruknuddin heading toward it. Fathima warns that he must be going to destroy the evidence and urges Razia to get inside while she distracts him. Meanwhile, Althunia sneaks into the palace, avoiding the guards. He covers her mouth and whispers that they are both thieves, so she should trust him. As Ruknuddin approaches, the darkness prevents him from seeing them, and he walks away. Althunia signals Razia to escape, but she misses his cue. Frustrated, he tightly grips her hand and pushes her toward the window, then stands beside her, holding her hand again. Once Ruknuddin leaves, Althunia seizes the horse and urges Razia to come with him. She refuses, so he escapes alone. Razia hesitates—if she steps out now, Ruknuddin might spot her. However, she fumes at the stranger for stealing the horse from her stable, vowing not to spare him. She then turns to retrieve the horse’s seat, only to find it missing. Her servant, Chanda, worries that Ruknuddin might have taken it and apologizes. Determined, Razia declares that she will stop Ruknuddin before he can destroy the evidence. Razia rushes after Ruknuddin, demanding that he stop. He halts but dismissively claims he did not hear her over the buzzing flies. She retorts that he is right—flies are drawn to filth. Amused, he asks what she will do if he refuses to hand over the seat. Then, realizing they are alone, he pulls out a dagger and threatens to kill her. Razia mocks him, saying that he carries a dagger just like he carries his conspiracies. He smirks, declaring that everything is fair in love and war.
