GANGAA, SUNDAY 2ND FEBRUARY #blastersseries While going upstairs, both Ganga discuss the bridal saree and recognize each other. Ganga tells the younger Ganga that Maharaj ji used to work at their home for so long. The younger Ganga is happy to meet Ganga and calls her someone with great self-respect who keeps the family united. Ganga advises the younger one to have faith in herself; she is sure her new family will dearly respect her. The younger Ganga discusses that she is unaware of her new family and hasn’t even met her husband yet; it’s his second marriage, and he has a daughter as well. Ganga is sure she will get the courage to fulfill her responsibilities well. She goes to meet the groom and father-in-law. The younger Ganga takes her leave, and Ganga goes on her way. The young Ganga returns, and her father-in-law instructs Shiv to make Ganga wear their family necklace. There, Ganga informs the family about the young Ganga. Amma ji suggests remarrying Ganga and Sagar. Everyone, including Krishna, is excited. The Pandit qualifies that if they take rounds with each other now, their wedding will be for lives onward. Sagar cheerfully says they must do it; he would become tension-free as well, and it won’t matter even if he dies. Ganga silently prays when she foresees a storm coming her way, and tears fill her eyes. They all leave with food for the Brahmans. Krishna watches the young Ganga and her family getting on a boat for a ride and points towards Sagar. Ganga forbids this at once, but Krishna insists. Everyone insists that Ganga let her go, and Sagar takes Ganga along with them. Suddenly, there is a storm, and the same scenes as Ganga’s nightmare unfold; the three of them fall off the boat into the water. Ganga screams for Krishna, struggling in the water. Sagar drowns. Ganga holds the family necklace that had been gifted to the younger Ganga. Ganga's head hits the side of the boat, and she faints. After the storm, people come to help Sagar out of the river. Shiv is standing on the riverbank when two men come to point at the girl wearing the same dress. Shiv brings Ganga out of the river, not his wife. In the medical camp, Shiv sits beside his father, who has also fainted. A lady comes with a necklace, which she found with Ganga. He is moved by this. Ganga regains consciousness, and two ladies go to inform Shiv. Ganga has flashes from her childhood of a similar storm at the ghat. She wakes up calling for her father and wants to go to him. The ladies inform her that her husband and his father are here. Ganga doesn’t recognize that she has a husband and denies recognizing Shiv as well. She tries to leave, but Shiv arrives just then. Shiv tells Ganga to come with him, as they need to do the coronation ceremony. The ladies tell Ganga this is Shiv, whom she married today. Ganga doesn’t recognize him, as she didn’t even see him. The ladies say they didn’t see each other, but he is her husband. Ganga wonders how she could marry someone without seeing him. The ladies inquire about her name, which Ganga doesn’t remember. The ladies gossip that it feels like she has lost her memory. Ganga forces herself to recall her name, and Shiv calls Ganga from behind. She remembers the name but denies marrying him. Shiv says his father is no more, and they have to go for his cremation rituals. Ganga denies having married him and asks for proof. Shiv is angry and asks if he must provide proof of a wedding that he never wanted to have. The ladies try to insist that Ganga go with him, as he is really sad. Ganga isn’t ready to go with someone she considers a stranger. Shiv recalls his father’s promise, and Ganga runs away. Sagar regains consciousness at the riverbank. He looks around for Ganga and Krishna. Ganga runs through the streets, looking around. Sagar also looks for her across the streets and inquires of people nearby about Krishna. Ganga hides behind something, hears Sagar, but doesn’t recognize him and wonders who he is, as it seems he also wants to take her along, but she won’t go with anyone. Sagar finally cries out for Krishna and Ganga’s names. Ganga stands up behind him, but her head bangs badly. She tries to reach Sagar, but Shiv finds her first. She falls down in the street, and people pass over her when Shiv reaches and bends over her to save her from the stampede. He finally takes her along. Near the jeep, Shiv tells Ganga that if she can’t understand that his father was everything for him, today he is dead, and he needs to take him. If she wants him to prove their marriage, it was his father who left her responsibility to him. He is requesting her to go with him. Ganga resists moving on. Shiv says alright, now he won’t follow her, as nothing matters to him as much as his father does. People pass by with the young Ganga in their arms. A lady comes to request Shiv to save her daughter; she was getting married but didn’t, and the groom died. Now, the Pandits won’t let her go without shaving her head. Shiv goes with the lady. Ganga gets flashes from her childhood of hiding behind Niru in such a situation. Tears fill her eyes. When Shiv leaves, he is relieved to see Ganga getting into the car silently. He approaches her, saying if she has decided to come home, in their family, it’s a ritual that the bride and groom look at each other after the Kul Devta Pooja. He covers her face with a veil. Meanwhile, Sagar is asking people about Ganga and Krishna. Shiv warns Ganga that she can never go against any family ritual. Sagar shouts and cries for Ganga from behind. Ganga looks towards him through her veil, but the car moves on. Ganga thinks Sagar might have lost his love; she prays he finds whom he is looking for. At home, the ladies gossip that Shiv’s mother is still in her bridal clothes. They come to tell Pratab that his mother must get rid of the jewelry. Pratab is furious, but his mother calms him and stops the ladies from moving on. She removes her jewelry by herself.
