I used to think that rice is grown in floods because it's an aquatic plant. It turns out I was wrong. Rice doesn't need so much water. The reason they grow it in so much water is to drown out the weeds.
Rice can withstand submerged conditions, but weeds can not.
Sometimes, we think we're drowning when we're actually being drawn away from enemies.
It's easier for rice to survive a flood than it is to win a fight against weeds.
There are situations that will never make sense until you come out on the other side and notice that your enemies have already lost the fight.
The paddy fields, or the floods, are usually drained up before harvest.
When your harvest comes, your floods will disappear.
Your battle will end once it has finished protecting your growth.
In short, sometimes we don't understand why some situations surround us for so long. If we wait it out with a positive attitude, we will often see the whole picture at the end.
Sometimes, you may go down with a sickness or your business closes. Then your enemies write you off and forget about you.
Unbeknownst to you, the idea was to get them off your radar so that you could build quietly without their competition and opposition.
This should remind you not to update those who fell out of your life after you recover. Just start rebuilding and growing.
Perhaps that flood was meant to shield you out of their sight.
