*Sikhala arrested for convening meeting in Nyanga without police approval* NYANGA – Former Zengeza West MP Job Sikhala and 38 others were arrested on Saturday, 08 February 2025, for allegedly holding a meeting without notifying police. Sikhala, leader of the National Democratic Working Group, faces charges under Section 7(1)(b) of the Maintenance of Public Order Act. Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) is representing the group. The arrest comes as the veteran politician is still recovering from the effects of his nearly 600-day imprisonment, following his release last year.
