How righteous women in the past advised their husbands: “When a man would leave his home, his wife would say to him: Beware of harām earnings. For we can be patient upon hunger but we cannot be patient upon the Hellfire.” [Imām Ibn Qudāmah al-Hanbalī رحمه الله in his book “Mukhtaṣar Minhāj al-Qāsidīn” | page 85] Imām Mālik bin Anas رحمه الله said "Indeed the wives of the Şahābah sought the Hereafter, so they did not care about the poverty of their husbands" [Sahih Fiqh al-Sunnah 4/403]
