* Wyatt Johnston scored a natural hat trick, including the OT winner, in the Stars 4-3 OT comeback win over the Golden Knights. Johnston (21 years, 259 days) became the youngest player in Stars franchise history to score a natural hat trick.
* Tage Thompson and JJ Peterka each had a hat trick and four points in a 7-2 Sabres win over the Bruins.
* The Hurricanes blanked the Rangers 4-0 as Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall picked up their first points with Carolina. Frederik Andersen became the fourth Hurricanes goaltender with a shutout this season.
