Even though I have a TikTok account to make my content accessible across platforms, I’m not as consistent there as on other apps, so I didn’t feel particularly affected when it became unavailable. What did sting slightly was losing access to CapCut, the editing app from the same company. But then I remembered the tools I used before CapCut, and things quickly fell back into place. Its editing tools are very similar to CapCut’s (without its popular viral templates), and as an alternative, you can also use Instagram’s built-in editor to create and download short videos without needing to post them.
