The iconic Chicago-area “Home Alone” house officially has new owners, Mansion Global has learned. The traditional red brick house in Winnetka, Illinois, closed on Thursday for $5.5 million, slightly over its asking price of $5.25 million. The home was listed for sale in May of last year and found a buyer within a week of hitting the market, though it took more than seven months for the sale to be final. This is the first time in more than a decade that the home has traded hands.
