*Bookkeeper* Satex Incorporated Expires 15 Feb 2025 Harare Full Time *Job Description* Our organization is looking for a qualified and competent person, to join our Accounts department as a Bookkeeper. The incumbent should have a high level of precision and meticulousness to accurately record transactions. * Numerical proficiency: Strong maths skills are necessary for calculations and balancing accounts. * Organizational skills: Maintaining a systematic approach to record-keeping. * Accounting knowledge: Understanding basic accounting principles like double-entry bookkeeping. * Software proficiency: Familiarity with Sage 200 accounting software is an added advantage. *Duties and Responsibilities* * Transaction recording: Ensuring all daily business transactions are correctly entered into the accounting system, including sales, purchases, payments received, expenses incurred, and payroll. * Maintaining the general ledger: Checking that all transactions have been posted to the correct accounts in the general ledger, ensuring proper debits and credits are recorded. * Bank reconciliation: Matching bank statements to recorded transactions to verify accuracy. * Accounts payable management: Perform supplier reconciliations, matching system balances to supplier statements. * Accounts receivable management: Tracking outstanding customer invoices and following up on overdue payments. * Financial statement preparation: Assist in the preparation of the financial reports like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. *Qualifications and Experience* * Degree in Accounting or equivalent * Studying towards an accounting profession such as ACCA, CIMA * At least 3 years of experience *How to Apply* Interested candidates should send their applications at [email protected] or hand deliver them at our Head Office at No 5 Kelvin North Branch Graniteside in Harare not later than 15 February 2025.
