FAMILIARIZATION UPDATES TC FULFILLS PROMISE TO SUPPORT EDUCATION IN GURUVE DIVISION February 13th, 2024 By Believe Edson Tengemhare, OVC Education Support Project Coordinator, THQ Territorial Leaders, Commissioner Daniel Kasuso and Commissioner Tracey Kasuso, continued their familiarization tour with a joyful visit to Mucherengi Primary School in Guruve Division. The students and staff warmly welcomed the leaders with loud cheers and the traditional Shona welcome chorus, "Tinofara pakusangana." The visit was particularly significant, as Mucherengi Primary School is a beneficiary of The Salvation Army's OVC Education Support Project. Commissioner Daniel Kasuso had the privilege of handing over textbooks to 42 learners, fulfilling the church's promise. This donation complements the existing support provided by the church, which includes school fees, school feeding program, stationery, and now textbooks. The learners will each receive textbooks for at least three subjects. Commissioner Kasuso encouraged the students to work hard, as their efforts would attract further support. Commissioner Tracey Kasuso emphasized the importance of child protection and empowerment, highlighting the church's commitment to providing education, protection, and opportunities for all. She displayed a placard with the message "Empowering Every Child: Education, Protection and Opportunity for all."
