Made with 1.5 million gulf seed pearls. 📸 Qatar national museum - The Baroda carpet, a covering made in Basra Iraq, and was commissioned by the 18th-century Indian Maharaja Gekwar Khand Rao, who was governor of Baroda State and an admirer of the Islamic religion and its teachings, the carpet was intended to be a cover for the tomb of the Prophetﷺ in Medina.
