🌱 While some banks claim they remain committed to net zero, their public disengagement signals that sustainability was never a core value, only a PR strategy. But consumers and investors aren’t fooled. The financial crisis eroded trust, and this reversal only deepens scepticism.
📈 At the same time, demand for sustainable finance continues to grow, with more consumers and businesses seeking banks that align with their long-term priorities. Those turning away from climate commitments may find they are also turning away from future opportunities.
