And, about a year later, here's a Telex I sent to Carlos Reutemann, shortly after he'd decided to race again for Williams in 1982. I described the mechanics that way so that Carlos could remember them! As it happened, he drove one of his greatest races to finish P2 in South Africa, 1982, splitting the Renault turbos when he was about 200bhp down on that mega power circuit. Again, I was still working for Autocar magazine.
