This year, Safer Internet Day is all about protecting yourself and others from scams online – something we care a lot about at MSE. We've long campaigned to make tech companies more legally responsible for the scam ads they've been paid to publish. Scams are the crime you are most likely to fall victim to in the UK, and the majority of cases originate online. Our founder Martin Lewis has appallingly had his face used in such adverts by criminals tricking people into parting with their cash. While some progress has been made in this area, there's still a lot more that needs to be done. Young people agree, according to new research from the UK Safer Internet Centre.
