🟢 SVAMITVA ( Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Area ) Scheme
The SVAMITVA scheme is a Central Sector scheme that aims to provide property validation and ownership records for rural properties in India.
The scheme was launched by the Prime Minister of India on April 24, 2020.

🟢 Aim :
To provide an integrated property validation solution for rural India
.
It is a scheme for mapping the land parcels in rural inhabited areas using drone technology and Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS).
The mapping will be done across the country in a phase-wise manner over a period of four years - from 2020 to 2024
🟢 What the scheme does :
💥 Uses drone technology to map land parcels in rural areas
💥 Provides property owners with legal ownership cards, also known as property cards or title deeds
💥 Updates property registers with the "record of rights"
💥 Helps property owners use their property as a financial asset for loans and other financial benefits
💥 Helps reduce property-related disputes
💥 Helps create accurate land records for rural planning
🟢 Who is involved in the scheme?
Ministry of Panchayati Raj: The nodal ministry for the scheme
State Revenue Department: The nodal department in the states
State Panchayati Raj Department: Supports the Revenue Department in implementing the scheme
Survey of India: The technology partner for the scheme
🟢 Benefits :
Benefits of the scheme Helps property owners monetize their properties, Helps property owners get bank loans, Helps reduce property-related disputes, Helps create accurate land records for rural planning, and Helps determine property tax.
🟢 Present Coverage Area :
The SVAMITVA scheme targets coverage of nearly 6.62 lakh villages, with 50,000 villages targeted from April 2020 to March 2021, and the remaining villages across the country from 2021-2025.
