*National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Raising Day* National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Raising Day is celebrated annually on January 19th to honor the establishment of the NDRF in 2006 under the Disaster Management Act of 2005. This day recognizes the dedication and bravery of NDRF personnel who respond to natural and man-made disasters across India. The NDRF, with its 16 battalions, has conducted numerous rescue operations, saving thousands of lives and providing relief during cyclones, floods, earthquakes, and other emergencies. The day is marked by various events, including parades, drills, and award ceremonies, to acknowledge the selfless service of these first responders.
