We Are Hiring: Lead Safety Design Engineer – EPPM Tunis Join our innovative team at EPPM Tunis as a Lead Safety Design Engineer. Play a key role in diverse, high-impact projects. Roles and Responsibilities Primary Duties : Take the role of Lead Engineer for Proposals or Projects, if nominated. Lead projects from conceptual design through detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. Participating in cross-functional and inter-office meetings to provide HSE Design inputs to Engineering Design activities. Design of Active and passive Fire Protection Systems. Prepare /review safety studies. Scope of Responsabilities: Prepare and review Firewater/Foam demand and hydraulic calculations. Prepare and review of Firefighting system PFD and P&ID. Prepare and review firefighting and safety equipment specifications and datasheets. Assist in developing the general plot plan and implementing the safety distance matrix. Lead the preparation of Safety sign, safety equipment, and Emergency escape route layouts. Prepare and review loss prevention layouts and calculations. Prepare and review the hazardous area classification schedule and layout. Develop and implement HSE philosophy Define the fire protection design basis. Conduct passive fire protection analysis (PFP). Perform calculations and develop specifications for fire suppression system. Identify Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) and performance standards. Manage vent dispersion and flare radiation analysis. Prepare and review the Fire & Gas Philosophy, Fire & Gas detection layouts, Cause and Effect diagrams and 3D Mapping studies. Conduct Consequence Modelling Analysis (explosions, jet fires, flash fires, pool fires and flammable/toxic gas dispersion). Prepare and review Fire and explosion risk assessments (FERA). Prepare and review Quantitative Risk assessment (QRA). Software’s to be used in the job: DNV PHAST & SAFETI PIPENET INSIGHT NUMERICS DETECT 3D FLARESIM SHELL FRED & SHEPHERD AUTOCAD Qualifications & Experience: Engineering Degree (Chemical/Industrial Engineering) Minimum 8 years of experience in Safety Design, Risk management, QRA, F&G Mapping Study. Initial experience in Oil & Gas / water treatment engineering is a plus.
