*Swami Rajeswarananda Day - 31-01-2025* On January 31, 2025, devotees gathered with great reverence at the Samadhi of Swami Rajeswarananda to observe his Aradhana day. A modest puja ceremony took place at the shrine, beautifully accompanied by the devoted chanting of Aksharamanamalai by the attendees. The atmosphere was filled with a deep sense of spirituality and gratitude. Swami Rajeswarananda, originally hailing from Madras (now Chennai), dedicated his life as a sannyasi of the Ramakrishna Order. He had the extraordinary privilege of being in close contact with Bhagavan Sri Ramana for nearly 44 years, during which he played a pivotal role in simplifying and spreading Bhagavan's teachings. His initial contribution was the book "Thus Spake Ramana," a concise booklet that encapsulated the full essence and breadth of Bhagavan's teachings in 125 succinct yet powerful statements. This work became a cornerstone for many seekers of truth, making the profound wisdom of Bhagavan accessible to a wider audience. In addition to his notable work on "Thus Spake Ramana," Swami Rajeswarananda served as the editor of the journal "The Call Divine" during its inaugural twelve years. His editorial guidance helped shape the journal into a significant platform for spiritual discourse. Furthermore, he authored two additional books: "Erase the Ego" and "Teachings of Ramana Maharshi," both of which continue to inspire and guide spiritual seekers. On this special day, devotees gathered to honor and remember Swami Rajeswarananda for his immense contributions to disseminating the teachings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana. The ceremony was a heartfelt tribute to a revered spiritual teacher whose legacy continues to illuminate the path of many.
