Congratulations to veteran Goan Freedom Fighter Smt. Libia Lobo Sardesai on being honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri. Her 'Voice of Freedom' radio station played a pivotal role in advancing the Goa Liberation Struggle. As the first woman lawyer in Goa, the founder of Women’s Cooperative Bank, and the Goa College of Home Science, she pioneered new avenues of women empowerment in Goa. At the ripe age of 100 years, Smt Lobo continues to dedicate herself to the service of the Goan people. The Padma Award is a testament to her courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to Goa and India. May her extraordinary life and contributions continue to inspire us all.
