Greater Accra Children’s Ministry Holds First Training of Trainers (ToT) for 2025
The Greater Accra Children’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost took a significant leap forward in its mission to Win, Wean, and Unleash Godly children to transform their world. On Saturday, February 1, 2025, the Sophia McKeown Temple in La was filled with passionate Children’s Ministry Workers eager to be equipped for the task ahead at the first Training of Trainers session for the year.
The event began with an orientation by Pastor Daniel Sewornu, the Greater Accra Regional Children’s Ministry Pastor, who outlined the day's agenda. He emphasized the Hop, Step, and Jump approach, setting the stage for a deep dive into the Ministry’s Vision 2028—a roadmap to raising Christ-centered, well-rounded children.
Pastor Sewornu meticulously unpacked the Children’s Ministry Vision 2028, highlighting its mission to lead children to Christ and nurture them mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually. He explained the constitutional mandate of the Children’s Ministry and introduced the Win, Wean, and Unleash strategy, which will guide the Ministry’s work over the next four years.
Following his session, Hon. Deaconess Susana Nyakotey-Boadi (National TOT member), took the stage to elaborate on the Unleash pillar of Vision 2028. She outlined strategies to empower children to take up leadership and actively impact their communities with the gospel.
After a brief lunch break, Deaconess Agyekumwaa Boye (National TOT member) led an insightful session on the Effective Use of the Children’s Ministry Syllabus within the Vision 2028 framework. She emphasized the importance of distinguishing between evangelism and discipleship, stressing that teachers must first lead children to salvation before attempting to disciple them.
The training was not just about receiving information, it was also a time for dialogue. A Q&A session allowed participants to seek clarity on key topics, fostering a deeper understanding of their role in shaping the next generation.
The day ended with a powerful prayer session led by Elder Benjamin Bamfo-Ennin. As the participants dispersed, one thing was clear: The Children’s Ministry is on fire for Vision 2028. With renewed commitment and fresh insights, these trainers are now equipped to inspire and empower others to raise Godly children who will transform their world for Christ.
