Freedom and dignity are the cornerstones of a vibrant human society. Our Constitutional doctrine enshrines these values, which are reflected in the expression of liberty, equality, and fraternity.
In times when fascism and authoritarianism are palpable in society, the constitutional spirit- both in letter and action- is violated by weaponizing the same doctrine. This is the tragedy of our time.
On this Republic Day, let us commit to emboldening the values enshrined in the Constitution and making the values reflected in the doctrine a lived reality in letter and spirit.
