**WHEREAS** it has been established that you, **[Name of the Official]**, **[Designation]**, have continued to hold the elective office of **[Specify Post]** in **[Specify Organization]** beyond the prescribed limit of **two terms or five years**, in violation of **Rule 15(1)(c) of the CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964**.

### **ARTICLE OF CHARGE – I**

2. **Submission of Written Defense**
- You are directed to **submit your written defense within 10 days** from the date of receipt of this memorandum.
- If no defense is submitted, the case will proceed **ex-parte**.
3. **Suspension Pending Inquiry (If Required)**
- As per **Rule 10 of the CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965**, you may be **placed under suspension** if your continued presence in service is deemed detrimental to the inquiry.
