1. Delhi is all set to vote for the 70 member assembly. Voting will take place from 7 AM to 6 PM, with over 1.56 crore voters set to cast their ballots for 699 candidates. Counting of votes will take place on Saturday.
2. PM Modi will visit Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj today. He will take a holy dip at the Sangam and offer prayers to Maa Ganga. The Mahakumbh 2025, which commenced on Paush Purnima, 13th January, is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees from across the globe. The Mahakumbh will continue until Mahashivratri on 26th February.
3. Replying to the discussion in Lok Sabha, PM Modi has said that his government has taken a slew of measures for the welfare of the poor people resulting in upliftment of 25 crore people out of poverty.

13. India plans to implement the Kavach Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system across its entire railway network within six years, aiming to enhance safety and efficiency. The system, designed to prevent collisions by automatically applying brakes, has earned Safety Integrity Level 4 certification.
14. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday announced that the Congress would give 42 per cent seats for Backward Classes candidates (BCs) in the upcoming local body elections, and challenged the BRS and the BJP to follow the suit if they were genuinely committed to the upliftment of the community.

The inflow of Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) has registered an increase of 26 percent during the first half of the current fiscal year when compared to the same period the previous year. As per the provisional estimates of the Reserve Bank of India, the FDI inflow reached 42.1 billion US dollars till September last year. 1. Over 3232 kilometres of the India-Bangladesh border have been covered with a fence out of over 4096 km of total length. Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said that the fencing helps ensure a crime-free border by effectively addressing the challenges of cross-border criminal activities, smuggling, movement of criminals, and trafficking.
2. India has contributed 37.64 million US Dollars to the United Nation’s Regular Budget for this year, securing its place among the 35 member states honoured for timely and full payment of their dues. This contribution was made on the 31st of last month.
3. Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Nurlan Yermekbayev has arrived in New Delhi yesterday. In a social media post, External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, the visit underscores the country’s commitment to enhancing regional cooperation, security, and trade and economic development.
4. The Environment Ministry announced that the Framework Agreement on the establishment of the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) has officially come into force. The IBCA and its Secretariat have become a full-fledged, treaty-based, inter-governmental international organization and legal entity as of January 23. Five countries – Nicaragua, Eswatini, India, Somalia, and Liberia – have deposited their instruments of ratification under the Framework Agreement. As of now, 27 countries, including India, have consented to join the IBCA

(b) In men’s doubles, Karnataka’s Nithin HV and Prakash Raj S beat Vaibhav and Ashith Surya 21-16, 21-14 for gold. Shikha Gautam and Ashwini Bhat secured the women’s doubles title, defeating Angel Punera and Anya Bisht 21-11, 21-13.
