BJP delegation led by BJP MLA Shri Sanbor Shullai, State President Shri Rikman G Momin along with BJP leaders Shri Bernard Rimpu N Marak and Shri Bipen Pradhan met Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh regarding the issue of land acquisition under the control of the Ministry of Defence within Shillong areas to help ease traffic congestion. The BJP delegation requested the minister to open all roads closed by the defence authorities as the sudden closure of road has caused hardships to commuters. The BJP delegation also discussed about land acquisition within commercial areas of Shillong so as to build parking lots and vendig zones for the locals.
